Turkish Delight Nougat Ice-Cream
*Makes approximately 2l of ice-cream
Ingredients:
- 3 eggs (separated)
- 125ml sugar
- 250ml non-dairy cream (Orley Whip)
- 100g Ooh la la Turkish Delight Nougat Bar
Method:
- Freeze the bar of nougat so that you can smash it into little pieces using a mallet
- Beat egg whites until stiff
- Add 60ml of sugar to the egg whites and beat again
- Add the egg yolks and beat until combined. Add the remaining sugar and beat agai
- Beat the Orley Whip and fold it into the egg mixture
- Stir in the nougat pieces and pour the mixture into a freezer safe dish and freeze
*Note: this recipe can’t be doubled. You have to make the recipe twice, and then combine both quantities and then freeze
