The calisson, a French almond delicacy, originates from the village of Aix en Provence. Ooh La La has created its award winning version of a calisson using a homemade candied melon (perfect, unblemished South African melons), homemade candied orange peel and home-ground almonds. This delectable mixture is set atop edible rice paper and then exquisitely finished off with a royal icing glaze. This signature item was the founding confection on which Ooh La La was built.
