Apple & Honey Challah
To your tried-and-tested challah recipe add:
2 Granny smith apples, thinly sliced Replace the sugar with 1/3 cup honey
METHOD
- Add the apples to your dough during the kneading to incorporate them.
- Instead of braiding your dough, you can create a round challah to represent the cyclical nature of the year, by rolling two long sausages of dough, make one end a little bit fatter than the other. Place the fat end onto a greased and floured baking tray, and twist the rest of the spiral around it like a snail.
